I'm confused, you don't mention anything to do with the below in your
previous email so I'm unaware of the context of any previous email.

For HDMI output you don't need to do anything, we set that up by
default because it's an expected default feature.

At least on this thread the above process has never been mentioned so
I'm not sure the context of losing track is. The process [1] is for
add-on things like HATs, a display convertor is unrelated to this,
even when running Raspbian/Raspberry Pi OS so I'm not sure what any of
the above has to do with the thread.
