I agree this is the preferred notification location for many of the
XFCE users. In fact I also think it is a great place for a
notification. However, my pain point is, I am always using a
workstation instead of a laptop, where there are no volume control in
keyboard. In this situation, it is a pain.
Before F24 I remember the volume control is vertical, so it worked
well. Now the volume control is horizontal, and the problem comes...
