Languages in floss

Hi team,

years ago, I started this website https://languages-in-floss.eu

my goal is to describe how localization works and the issues our
community faces.

It really is focused on how we work together in the open-source
community and the related challenges. I'm not a linguist and won't try
to be :)

This is a multilingual website, with automated publication of done
translations (every page with a translation progress > 80% gets published).

Why do I do that?
Because I feel like every single open-source content should be
multilingual by default, with localized keywords, page names, etc.
I wanted to make sure this is technically doable.
This is my proof of concept :)

You can contribute its translation there:
https://translate.fedoraproject.org/projects/languages-in-floss/

Also, my native language is French, I write articles in this language
and you are welcome to translate it in whatever language they wish.

The website needs improvements, some things are broken, you are welcome
to come and improve it, but I'm happy with minimalist layout.
New languages addition still is manual, I'll improve this in the future.
It took me years to add Spanish translations (because #notime), I hate
when I face the same situation when contributing upstream projects.

If this is fine for you, I may communicate here a little bit about this
website, to introduce some metrics I created regarding translator
community health in open-source. There is a lot to say!

If you are going to Offdem or Fosdem, I'll be happy to meet you! Easiest
way would be to attend the Weblate meetup on Friday evening
Michal talked about it on Mastodon, it is not yet fully organized

Have a nice day,

Jean-Baptiste
