[389-users] custom attribute issue in version 3.1

Hi List,

We are currently testing 389-DS version 3.1 on AlmaLinux using data migrated from version 1.3.10. We are encountering an issue when searching against a custom attribute we defined years ago named distinguishedName.

Although the index is present, searches for specific values return no results in version 3.1. This same ldapsearch works correctly in version 1.3.10 but returns an empty result set in the new environment:

ldapsearch -x -H ldap://server -D "uid=xcxcx,ou=Special" -W -b "dc=xxx,dc=xx" "distinguishedName=cn=bbbbb,ou=nnnn"




Any insights on why this attribute is no longer returning entries in the latest version?
